With a thin sheet of white paper and an X-acto knife, artist Maude White carves out delicate and exquisitely detailed renderings of birds. This set of boxed notecards includes 20 cards and 20 envelopes, featuring a variety of birds reproduced with bold simplicity on various colored backgrounds. The cards also feature text on the back about each bird, edited from Maude White’s upcoming book Brave Birds
Birds are an evergreen gift and stationery theme (owls, flamingos, and pigeons are all trending–as are feather motifs). Paper-cut illustration is also trendy, and Maude’s meticulously rendered work truly stands out in the field. Maude has a devoted following on Instagram and each of her posts attracts hundreds of comments. These notecards and her other paper products compliment Brave Birds, her upcoming book, and she is eager to promote them together.
